West Potomac Academy PT/OT level 2 students visit Belle View Elementary special needs students monthly to reinforce fine and gross motor skill though fun, hands on seasonal craft activities.  The PT/OT students assess the needs of the students each year and design lessons that will allow the young students to practice skills based on their individual needs.  They have worked with a variety of tactile materials including cotton, felt, shaving cream, and practice a variety of skills like cutting, tearing, writing, coloring, painting, and integrate shapes, colors, patterns and counting.  The relationship that is developed each year is just as important as the skills themselves.
