2017 Graduates Ready for the World!

Fire and EMS Students

  • Hannelore Tahmessebi is one of 75 candidates accepted in to UVA's nursing program. She is taking a 6 week road trip with her dad along the west coast, down to Texas and back up the east coast before leaving for UVA. 
  • Austin Leung is going to VT to be a Biology major in prep for medical school.
  • Theresa Sherrill has been accepted to Carnegie Mellon on a full athletic scholarship. She is undecided what her major will be yet but suspects she will consider health sciences. 
  • Alexis Justice is hoping to get a job as a professional EMT on passing her EMT certification exams. 
  • Michelle Chavez is going to Ferrum University in Roanoke, VA for healthcare professions following a summer camping trip to Virginia Beach.

Medical Assistant Students

Hanna Buts is heading to James Madison University to prepare for her career in the medical field.
Samantha Wieman will work at an urgent care clinic while pursuing her education at George Mason University to become a physician.
Sarah Spencer is pursuing her education at Longwood University toward nursing and the medical field.
Sarah Maldonado is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Virginia Tech in pursuit of her dream to become a physician.
Elise Roberts will pursue her higher education in the medical field.
Sara Fox is heading to Old Dominion University to discover which health and medical profession she will pursue.
Bayan Hamad is planning on a career in medicine.
Brian Centeno Guevara will continue his current job in a medical practice while pursuing his studies at the NOVA medical campus.
Cathy Medina is continuing her education at NOVA possibly in the medical field.
Diana Gaitan will pursuing her studies to be a nurse at the NOVA medical campus.
Estefany Castro Argueta is continuing in the workforce and pursuing her education to become a nurse.
Jayla Lewis will be entering the field of nursing.
Katherine Najarro is pursuing her studies to be a nurse at the NOVA medical campus.
Delmi Osorio Reyes is continuing on in the workforce and to pursue her studies to be a registered nurse.
Emily Garcia is continuing her current job in a family practice office while pursuing her studies at the NOVA medical campus.
Aubrie Humphreys is continuing on in the workforce and to provide home-based health care for select patients.
Molly Jackson will be involved in one year of mission work then moving on to BYU to begin her studies in field of medicine.
Saisruthi Kannan is travelling for the summer to India, then returning to commence her studies at George Mason University toward her lifelong passion of neuroscience.
Maribel Nogales Gumucio- is advancing in her current job at a chiropractic office while furthering her education at NOVA.
Barbie Rojas will be attending Radford University after a summer in the workforce, and is considering pursuing her further studies in the medical field.
Karina Morales will continue working and is considering her future in a medical career.
Brittany Clark will be attending NOVA.
Isabel Arispe is pursuing her studies in dentistry and possibly a career with the Navy.
Steven Le has joined the Air Force and plans to pursue a career in service to our country.
Blanca S is attending ODU to major in Biology with the career goal to become a surgeon.
Cayla Coton is attending Arcadia University where she will major in Biology in the Pre-Physician Assistant Pathway.
Selena Deleon is attending VCU with a major in Biology with an advising track of pre-med.
Chelsea is attending NOVA for one year, then will transfer to JMU or VCU where she will major in health science.
Camryn Woodbury is attending ODU where she will major in Biology.

PT/OT Students

Abby Pilcher & Mary Debolt will be attending Shenandoah University, majoring in the pre-physical therapy program of study.
Lauren Leithiser will be pursuing a degree in recreational therapy at Longwood University.
Zahra Hill will be will be attending Hampton University with a planned major of exercise science. Zahra plans to pursue a career in pediatric physical therapy.
Danielle Tiongson will major in exercise science while attending the Virginia Commonwealth University.
Ben Skibicki has committed to play on the men's soccer team while attending the Virginia Military Institute.
Idaresit Ekpuk has committed to play on the men's basketball team while attending the University of Mary Washington.
Ty Taylor will be playing on the women's basketball team and studying health sciences while attending North COuntry College in Syracuse, NY.
Kayla Congleton will pursue a degree in exercise science while attending the University of Kentucky.
Selena Lopez, Andrea Castro, & Maria Martinez will begin health science classes at the Northern Virginia Community College, will possible plans to pursue the physical therapy assistant degree.
Jada Bryant will attend Coastal Carolina and plans to major in exercise science.
Brenna Whalon & Kelsey Krause will be attending James Madison University and Majoring in exercise/health sciences.

Music and Computer Technology

Bryan Sykes will be attending Berkeley College of Music to pursue Audio Engineering.

Samuel Grice will be attending George Mason for Music Education.

 

TV Production

 

Will Shute will be attending the University of Texas where he will study Media Production.

Max Barrett will be attending James Madison University.

Daniela Weil will be attending Virginia Commonwealth University where she will study Graphic and Media Production.

Naomi Masterson will be attending SCAD where she will study Animation.
Jesse Benitez will be attending George Mason University majoring in Film and Video Studies.
Sophia John will be attending VCU while studying Film Production.

Dance

Vera Abankwa will be living in Africa for a month before going to West Virginia University to major in Speech language pathology and minoring in dance.
Hannah Nobles will be attending George Mason University this fall. She will be minoring in dance and hopes to join the dance team.
Mahaley Cassady will be attending the University of Suth Carolina for nursing.
Milan Branch will be attending Columbia College in Chicago to study fashion.

Pharmacy Tech

Itiola Akingbola is currently working as a Pharmacy Tech at Safeway and will be attending Virginia Tech.

Najma Mughal is currently working full time as a Pharmacy Tech in Maryland.

Abdulrahman Yousify is currently working at Rite Aid part time and will be studying at VCU.

 

Exploring Health Sciences

 

Laith Al-Jaouni will attend North Carolina State University.
Lotus Colley will attend Ohio State University and pursue a pre-medicine degree path.

Semhar Gelawdiwos will attend George Mason University to pursue a pre-medicine degree path.

Hayden McCloud will attend the University of North Caroling Wilmington.
