Giant Pharmacy Internship Spotlight
Local News Media Feature Giant Pharmacy Partnership & Internship Program for WPA Pharmacy Technician Students
Pharmacy Technician students are required to participate in 130 Clinic Hours at a Retail Pharmacy in order to sit for their Board of Pharmacy Exam. At WPA, students have the choice to also enroll in the CTE Internship for Credit Course to earn an additional 280 hours and a high school credit in addition to their Pharmacy Technician Course.
Business and Community Partner, Giant Pharmacy / Ahold Corp, hosts all Interns for their Internships. Most students are hired within the program being employed at a Giant Pharmacy and working throughout their senior year of high school and beyond.
