Pharmacy Technician Students Participate in Career Shadow Program with Walgreens Pharmacies

Walgreens District Manager presented students about career path opportunities with Walgreens Pharmacies.  

Throughout the months of April and May, Pharmacy Tech, level 1 juniors and seniors, participated in a Career Shadow Program at local Walgreens Pharmacies.  Students are shadowing pharmacy technicians and pharmacists and learning the operations of a pharmacy.  

Two students, Allison Castillo Cortez and Noah Soto, were hired by Walgreens in the front of the store as an entry level position with the company in hopes to transition to the Pharmacy after they obtain pharmacy technician licensure.
