A high school counselor suggested that Mary (Conklu) consider a career in physical therapy as an alternative to physical education, ‘…and that has made all the difference!’ A licensed and practicing physical therapist since 1982, Ms. Conklu completed her Physical Therapy degree at the University of Vermont, a Master’s in Public Health at the George Washington University, and her education training at the University of Virginia. Having worked as a PT in a variety of settings, from newborn to centenarian…there has never been a dull moment, and it has always been ‘a good thing.’

Ms. Conklu started teaching the Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy classes at West Potomac Academy in 2005; with one year away for an adventure, but that’s another story, another time!
