In October, West Potomac Academy hosted School Counselors, ETRs, and other school faculty to show off our amazing programs and share elective class opportunities available for students. Several FCPS staff from various feeder schools attended the half day program which included an overview of West Potomac Academy, a student panel, and classroom tours.

The West Potomac Academy Student Ambassadors participated in the panel discussion sharing their "Academy Experience" then led the tour groups to visit academy classes in session.

This year we are thrilled to welcome over 100 new Academy Ambassadors. Academy Ambassadors represent their West Potomac Academy course, instructor, as well as West Potomac Academy. In return for their active engagement in the program, Ambassadors earn community service hours for their time and service. For in person and virtual events, we rely on our Ambassadors to represent the best of West Potomac Academy! In first quarter, we have hosted an Academy Experience for School Counselors, hosted a tour with Twain Middle School’s 8th Grade AVID class, assisted with the HOSA District Leadership Competition, presented at a New Counselors meeting, and presented at a PTSA meeting. Go Ambassadors!
