2024 National Technical Honor Society New Members & Jon H. Poteat Scholarship Awarded

The National Technical Honor Society exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education.  NTHS celebrates the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today’s highly competitive, skilled workforce. 

The Jon H. Poteat Scholarship is named in honor and memory of the NTHS Co-Founder.  It is awarded annually to the NTHS members who consistently exemplify the seven attributes of the National Technical Honor Society – Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership. 

We are pleased to award a $1,000 Jon H. Poteat Scholarship to:  Lila Sultanzada

Lila Sultanzada was recently awarded a $1000 scholarship from the National Technical Honor Society. Lila is a Dental Careers student, and an active member of HOSA, NTHS, and Academy Ambassadors. Lila was one of 250 outstanding NTHS members to receive the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship based on her ability to consistently exemplify the 7 attributes of NTHS – Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership.
