Health & Medical Science Students visit NVCC Medical Campus
Dual Enrollment students from Exploring Language of Medicine classes visited the Northern Virginia Community College Medical Education Campus to experience the cadaver lab. Students participated in a tour of a human body and a review of body systems and medical terminology, as well as a tour of the Medical Education Campus program areas including nursing, radiology, sonography, phlebotomy and the blood lab, and respiratory therapy. They discussed the benefits of continuing at NVCC versus a four-year university after completing high school, the ability to receive an Associate Degree while still in high school, and an overview of the financial options for college including loans, grants, scholarships, and working a job that pays for your college.
