WPA Health and Medical Sciences and Inova "Dream Big" Initiative, hosted Two Virtual “Beyond the Academy Guest Speaker Events."  

Inova participated in the first round of "Beyond the Academy" in the Fall, which was a huge success.  During the Winter months, we turned the program virtual and students participated in two more opportunities to hear from health care professionals sharing their career paths, day to day job duties, and education / certifications required.  All of the Inova Professionals offered motivational presentations, personal stories and represented diversity.  

Participants included:  Cardiac Surgeon, Cardiologist, Research Manager, Nurse Navigator, Sonographer, Director Community Health Program, Nurse Executive, Nurse Practitioner, Director Inova PT, Manager Perioperative Support, Director of ASTEC, Clinical Director of Cardiovascular Operating Room, Critical Care Nurse, Clinical Tech, Quality Outcomes Specialist.
