On April 11^th thirteen students from Language of Medicine visited the INOVA Dome for 6 hours to observe a heart surgery, tour the back halls of the non-sterile section of the INOVA Surgical Wing, understand and participate in patient confidentiality and HIPAA in a surgical setting, and interact with staff who described the surgery in real time and answered questions.
