TV/Media Production Student Participates in Summer Internship for Credit Program

Emma was hired as the videographer for the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Girls Travel Basketball Team.  They participate in tournaments on weekends throughout the summer both in state and out of state.  As the team’s videographer, Emma is responsible for traveling with the team, filming the tournaments, and creating highlight tapes from the footage collected which is posted on social media.  Emma is participating in the FCPS Summer Internship for Credit Course where she will receive 1 high school credit for her paid videographer job experience.

As a level 1 TV/Media Production student at West Potomac Academy, Emma has had many real-life production experiences filming videos for FCPS football games.  One of her first videos gained almost 3,000 views on Instagram.  Her video featured highlights of “Battle of the Highway” between the West Potomac Wolverines and the Mount Vernon Majors, an annual rivalry game.
