West Potomac Academy's 911 course started a new partnership this year with The Fairfax County Department of Public Safety and Communications Department.  Student participated in a "Sit-Along" Program with 911 Call Dispatchers and toured the facility that houses all Fairfax County Public Safety Departments.  Students were mentored throughout the school year with routine visits to the classroom reviewing current events and careers within DPSC. When FCPS turned to distance learning for instruction, DPSC continued it's partnership by meeting with students virtually as a guest speaker in google classrooms.  

We are looking forward to continuing and growing this partnership to other courses within the Academy and following our students as they move forward in their career path with DPSC.
